POLLEN COUNT
A pollen count measures the concentration of pollen grains in the air over a specific period. This data is gathered using specialized equipment that collects airborne particles, which are then analyzed under a microscope by trained professionals.
Results are reported as the number of pollen grains per cubic meter of air and categorized into levels ranging from low to very high. These levels provide valuable insights into potential allergy triggers and help individuals plan their daily activities to minimize exposure.

Achieving certification as a pollen counting station is a rigorous and highly specialized process. It begins with passing a challenging 70-question multiple-choice exam, which tests knowledge on the geographic distribution of pollens, botanical descriptions of trees, and proper techniques for identifying and collecting pollen grains.
After the written exam, the process continues with a practical assessment. Candidates must correctly identify pollen grains on a microscopic slide—a meticulous task requiring extensive training and practice. Developing the ability to distinguish various pollens with precision takes time and expertise.
The National Allergy Bureau (NAB) maintains these high standards to ensure certified stations like ours deliver the most accurate and reliable pollen counts across the nation. This rigorous certification process reflects our dedication to scientific excellence and community trust.

The process of collecting and analyzing pollen is a meticulous one. Each day, specialized equipment samples the air for particles, capturing pollen grains on a slide. These slides are then examined under a microscope by our trained experts, who identify and count the types of pollen present.
This data is carefully reviewed and reported, offering you daily insights into pollen levels so you can plan your activities and manage your allergies effectively.
